As most of you know, I have had a studio for quite a few years, but I was sharing with another photographer which was great but last year over thanksgiving break we moved into a new space, one that is all ours and a total dream come true. The holidays were right around the corner so we had to wait until we were ready to open officially. The long awaited day to cut the ribbon for the new studio finally came! I'm so grateful to all the family, friends, and Flower Mound Chamber members that came to support this achievement.
Thank you Kate from RainFlorist Designs for the beautiful arrangement! It brought so much life to the foyer!
Thank you Monchy's Snacks for the delicious elote! You need to book Monchy's for your next event! Not only do they serve delicious corn with awesome toppings like takes and Flaming Hot Cheetos but their customer service as well as day of service is phenomenal!
It was so much fun having the photobooth setup while we mingled and enjoyed our elote awaiting the main event. Gary with Texas Photobooth, Rafael and Angelica with Rafael Serrano Photography, Chevy with Chevy Cheyyenne Photo & Video, Joshua with Loud & Clear, Monchy's and Flower mound Chamber members and friends and family all jumped in with us for fun shots in the booth!
Huge thanks to my husband, and co owner of Shakar Photography, Shalin, I couldn't do this without him. From covering things at home to running events to being the handyman at the studio, to lifting me up every time I am down or overwhelmed, he is the man behind my success. He has done so much around the new studio to get it up and running. If it involved a drill or hanging something on the wall he was the one to do it. (I'll reveal the interior of the studio soon and you'll see what an amazing job he did.) He has always supported my dreams, and always encouraged me to make them come true. This day would never have come if I didn't have his support and encouragement.
Also, shoutout to my new studio assistant, Allie, I appreciate all she has done so far and look forward to her growing with Shakar Photography. Allie came on board just around the time we were moving into the new studio and has been my right hand since!
Special thanks to friends and family who came out to support us on a weekday morning!
Here it is the MAIN EVENT... Cutting the ribbon with HUGE scissors. I have to tell y'all using those comically large scissors was way more fun than I anticipated.
I'm so excited for the new space! We will be hosting a Open House this Fall. Details to come soon! Come check out the new studio :)
